Everything You Need to Know

Frequently asked questions

What are This or That questions for work?

They are one-word binary choices (like “deep work with music or absolute silence”) that anyone can answer in seconds. They spark conversation in standups, retros and team meetings without putting anyone on the spot.

How do you play This or That in a team meeting?

Show a round, let everyone pick a side (in chat, on camera or out loud), then click Next. A whole round takes under two minutes, and Copy as text lets you paste any round straight into Slack or Teams. If your group prefers phones, tap Live vote to get a link everyone votes from in real time - no signup required.

What is the difference between This or That and Would You Rather?

This or That uses short one-word options for fast answers. Would You Rather presents two scenarios with a real trade-off, which makes for longer discussion. Both games are work-safe and built for teams.

Is the This or That team game free?

Yes. Free forever, no signup and no account. The full question bank is visible on this page and every round works offline in your browser.
